Our Story

We are Mark and Claire Stevens, and we have 2 lovely dogs, Jago a Hungarian vizsla and Pepe a longdog (greyhound saluki cross).
We have had dogs for over 30 years, our first dog together was Ralph, a pointer collie type cross from Batttersea Dogs' home. Beef the long haired chihuahua was the most spoiled and indulged dog we have had, he lived in absolulte luxury with us for 13 years.
Jago was just a puppy during the pandemic and although we were working from home we arranged for him to attend doggy day care where he spent time growing his social skills and making friends. Jago was comlimented on his good behaviour impeccable manners! Jago spent the occasional night and also his holidays when we were out of the country in the setting. In 2023 our provider mentioned she had been caring for a lovely foster dog who had been hard to place on account of his ridiculously long legs and general clumsiness. Apparently he had hit it off with Jago! Of course we couldnt say no and after a rigerous vetting by the adoption agency Pepe joined our family.
We came to realise that what we love doing is just chilling at home and out and about in the Cornish Countryside, spending time with dogs - our dogs. friends' dogs, any dogs!
So we both quit our jobs and, inspired by our own dogs' great experiences with their care provider, decided to set up ourselves to provide highly homely , high fuss, high cuddles, high excitement and/or relaxation, highly happy holidays, for hounds.
